The experience

The reef known as Dolphin House lies off the Hurghada coast, a horseshoe of coral that shelters a calm lagoon. Spinner dolphins use quiet water like this to rest during the day, which is how the place got its name.

Your day starts with pickup from your hotel and a transfer to the harbour. The boat makes guided snorkelling stops over the reef, with mask, fins and a life jacket provided and a guide in the water with the group. Lunch is served on board between stops.

Dolphins are wild animals and sightings are never guaranteed. Where they are present, the crew keeps a respectful distance and follows the local rules that protect resting pods — the trip is built around the reef, and a dolphin encounter is a bonus rather than a promise.
