The experience

Ras Mohammed sits at the tip of the Sinai where two gulfs meet, and the currents that meet with them are why its reef walls are what they are. It is Egypt's oldest national park and still the benchmark for Red Sea snorkelling.

The day includes guided snorkelling stops inside the park and a stop at the White Island — a bare sandbar that surfaces and shifts with the tide, with shallow water on every side.

The boat runs with fewer guests than a standard day boat, so stops are longer and the deck less crowded. Lunch and soft drinks are served on board. A national park fee is collected locally in cash.
