Overview
Trade the crowds for two of the most beautiful and best-preserved temples in all of Egypt. This private day tour takes you north from Hurghada to Dendera, home of the stunning Temple of Hathor with its painted ceilings and famous zodiac, and to Abydos, the sacred cult centre of Osiris and site of the exquisite Temple of Seti I.
We'll be upfront about the day: these temples lie a good distance north, so this is an early start with real driving on both ends — but you'll have your own private vehicle and Egyptologist the whole way, at your own pace. At Dendera you'll walk beneath one of the most complete temple ceilings in Egypt, its colours still vivid after two thousand years. At Abydos you'll stand before the finest carved reliefs of the New Kingdom and the famous Abydos King List.
