The experience

Sataya is a big horseshoe reef well offshore in the southern Red Sea, and its sheltered lagoon is where spinner dolphins rest through the day. The reef itself is in noticeably better condition than the sites closer to the resorts.

The day includes guided snorkelling on the reef with equipment provided, and lunch on board. The crew follow the rules that protect resting pods — no chasing and no swimming into the lagoon core — which is exactly why the dolphins keep using it. Sightings are never guaranteed.
