The experience

Shaab Sataya is a large horseshoe reef a long way offshore, and the journey is the price of what is there: coral in far better condition than the inshore sites, and a lagoon that wild spinner dolphins use to rest during the day.

Guided snorkelling is on the reef itself, with equipment provided and lunch on board. The crew keep to the rules protecting resting pods, and sightings are never guaranteed — the day is built around the reef, and dolphins are a bonus.
