The experience

Parasailing takes you up on a canopy towed behind a speedboat. The launch and landing both happen from the boat's platform, so you go up dry and come down dry, and the crew handles the harness and the lines.

From height the water reads as bands of colour — the pale shallows, the darker line of the reef, the deep blue beyond it — with the Hurghada coast behind you. The flight itself is calm rather than fast; the noise of the boat falls away once you are up.

No experience is needed and no swimming is involved. The crew brief you before launch, and flights run in suitable wind and sea conditions only.
